Jesus reveals for the first time the doctrine of the Rapture. He begins with a word of comfort,
“Let not your heart be troubled.”
We need that comfort today. There are so many troubled hearts in our world. One reason for despair is people have lost sight of the Blessed Hope (Titus 2:13), which is the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Persecutions are coming and indeed are already here in many places, but the Rapture of the church is imminent and we look forward to it with great expectation, knowing we will be saved from the “wrath to come” (1 Thessalonians 1:10).
