Who is Jesus?
The controversy of who is Jesus is as real today as when He walked on earth. “Truly this is the Prophet” (7:40), “This is the Christ” (7:41), “Will the Christ come out of Galilee?” (7:41), “Has not the Scripture said the Christ comes….from the town of Bethlehem? (7:42).
“There was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said, “He is good”; others said, “No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.”
Many of the people wanted the rulers to believe that Jesus “is truly the Christ” (7:26). There was great confusion about Jesus. Yet, “Many of the people believed in Him” (7:31).
[Chapter 8:1-12 should be part of the Scripture. It is found in the majority of manuscripts and should be trusted as the inspired Word.]
Why did the Jews take up “stones to throw at Jesus”? (8:59). It was because He claimed to be God.
“Before Abraham was, I AM.”
Who is Jesus? Jesus is God.
